My Interview with Bob Greene

bob greene interview

Last week, I told you about my participation in the Get Fit with Omron campaign. For me, the journey to physical fitness is more a change in attitude than anything else. Getting up and getting moving every day is a choice. It requires constant effort and commitment. I’m still moving in the right direction, but the going is slow because I have so much weight to lose. Bob Greene on exercising for weight loss   I asked Bob Greene, author of The Best Life Diet and 20 Years Younger and Oprah’s trainer, what advice he had for me and others … Read more

An Update on Me The last time I updated you on my healthier eating plan, I was down 7 pounds and nursing some pulled muscles from an overzealous workout. It’s been six weeks since then, and I’m happy to say that I’m still working at it. I’m exercising more days than I’m not, and I’m using My Fitness Pal to keep track of my calories consumed and my calories burned. As of last week, I’ve lost a total of 17 pounds. I Must Have Been High

Since I started living better, I have lost 7 pounds. I also lost 7 pounds in the first 10 days back in 2010. Isn’t that interesting? I’m really pleased with my progress. This healthier lifestyle feels comfortable.  I feel like I never stopped being healthy in early 2010, never got pregnant, never ate bowl after bowl of ice cream, never stopped exercising. Back then, I was using … Read more

Walking

A 55 degree afternoon in February is splendid. Having a safe place to walk and push a stroller and experience nature is terrific. Finding a gigantic walking stick at the beginning of the trail is fortunate. Singing The Ants Go Marching is fun. Observing geese and songbirds and raccoon footprints is educational. Exercising together is satisfying. A mother who spends her days with her children is blessed by God Himself. Exercising with EA Sports Active

Most days, Grace wakes up in my bed. Most days, I wake up to exercise at 5 am. Most days, my alarm wakes Grace up at 5 am. Most days, Grace exercises with me. Her legs are too small for the leg strap, so we had to make adjustments. How cute is she? She’s even cuter when she’s lifting her left arm, then right arm, then left arm. Some days, I get up early just to exercise with her. I think she loves it as much as I do. Stop by tomorrow to hear the rest of the story. It’s … Read more
