Thank you to Fooz Kids for providing me with an All-In-One pack to review. The opinions I’ve expressed here are solely my own and represent my honest viewpoint. Scroll to the bottom for a link to a year’s worth of FoozKids service free. Grace loves to play computer games. There are a few that she’s allowed to play with limited supervision, and she asks to play them all the time. One of the problems we have is that she sometimes clicks on the wrong thing and a window pops up in front of her screen. She gets all worked up … Read more
Mess has a way of following us where ever we go. I think it’s because we have kids. This was our room at the Great Wolf Lodge just after Grace emerged from the bath. She was looking for her blue pants. They’re somewhere near the bottom of the pile.
You are never going to believe this. Maybe you will, given my past history. I paid a $55 library fine today. Let me tell you, it hurt. I really wanted to blame somebody. I tried to find a way to blame poor old Joe, but it simply wasn’t his fault. I wanted to blame a vacation (we did go to Old Grandma’s) or my job, but I really couldn’t. The bottom line is that I looked at our library basket (filled with thirty-five or so books) every day and made the conscious choice to not take them back to the … Read more
I am inadequate, but I am doing something right. Because these girls adore each other. Adore. Each. Other. They adore each other absolutely. Allie’s face lights up when Grace smiles at her. I hope to never forget how Grace bounces on her hobby horse. A gift from Uncle Jim long before she was ready, the horse gathered dust in our family room for years. But now, how they ride. This is awesome! she yells, bouncing so high that her hair flies up over her head and falls only halfway down before she springs back up again, snapping it hard against her neck. Across the room, I feed and rock my little baby, unaffected by her sister’s frenetic ride. I’m like a real cowgirl! she gasps. Stopping suddenly, she waves her arms. Now, … Read more
I am inadequate. For almost three months, I have fretted the days away, frustrated that I can’t parent two children at the same time. It’s almost harder than I can bear. I haven’t enjoyed my new baby because I’ve been so focused on how hard she’s made my life, how she’s complicated everything. Bed rest, her slow start, her serious illness, her early teething. Nothing is easy with this little baby. Yesterday, I had a revelation. I am inadequate. I’m supposed to be inadequate. We all are. I am inadequate, but He is more than enough. He created this little … Read more
