These oven s'mores give you all the gooey goodness of a campfire treat without ever stepping outside, and swapping in a Reese's peanut butter cup instead of a plain chocolate bar takes them over the top. A quick trip under the broiler turns the marshmallow soft, toasty, and golden while the peanut butter cup melts into every bite, so you get a perfect s'more sandwiched between crisp graham crackers in just a few minutes. They're an easy way to satisfy a s'mores craving any night of the year, whether it's pouring rain outside or the middle of winter. Kids love helping build them, and with just three simple ingredients, they come together fast enough for a weeknight treat or a last minute dessert for guests.

Why this is the best Oven S'mores recipe
This is an easy twist on classic s'mores. These oven s'mores have all the gooey marshmallow and crisp graham cracker goodness you expect, but Reese's Peanut Butter Cups take the place of plain chocolate for an extra layer of creamy peanut butter flavor.
There's no campfire required for oven s'mores. You can make warm, melty s'mores right in the oven, which means you don't have to wait for a camping trip or a summer night around the fire.

Oven s'mores are incredibly quick to make. With just graham crackers, marshmallows, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, you can put together an easy dessert in minutes with almost no prep or cleanup.
Oven s'mores are great for kids and adults alike. The combination of toasted marshmallow, melted milk chocolate and peanut butter, and crunchy graham crackers makes these a fun choice for movie nights, sleepovers, parties, or anytime you need an easy sweet treat.
What you'll need to make the best Oven S'mores
Equipment
- half baking sheet
- Aluminum foil - This is for easier clean up. Have you ever tried to scrub off melted marshmallow? It's the hardest part of the recipe!

See the printable recipe card at the bottom of the page for all measurements and nutritional information.
Ingredients
Graham Crackers: be sure to use regular-size honey graham crackers for the best oven s'mores.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups: be sure to use regular-sized Reese's cups, not the Big Cups or the minis. You can also use a quarter of a Hershey bar for more traditional s'mores.
Marshmallows: use regular sized marshmallows (not mini or jumbo).
How to make easy Oven S'mores
- Place half of 8 graham crackers on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for easier cleanup. Place one large marshmallow on top of each.

- Turn the oven on a low broil and broil the s'mores for about 3-4 minutes, watching the whole time to ensure the marshmallows do not burn, or fall off the crackers.
- Once the marshmallows have broiled and are golden, remove from the oven.

Add a Reese's peanut butter cup on top of the marshmallow,
then place the other half of the graham cracker on top of the peanut butter cup. Press down slightly, and enjoy!
Substitutions & variations
You can use any kind of graham crackers you like for oven s'mores. Traditional honey graham crackers are classic, but chocolate or cinnamon graham crackers are delicious too.
We love our s'mores with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups but Milk chocolate bars give you the traditional s'mores flavor, and almost any chocolate will work. Try dark chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, white chocolate, Hershey bars, chocolate caramel candies (think Rolos or a caramel chocolate bar), or another favorite chocolate candy.

You can use regular marshmallows or flavored marshmallows.
For an extra-special s'more, spread peanut butter on one of the graham crackers before adding the marshmallow. If you use a plain Hershey bar instead of a peanut butter cup, you could experiment with Nutella, cookie butter, or caramel sauce on the graham cracker, too.
You can also set out several kinds of crackers, chocolates, and spreads and let everyone build their own s'mores. This is especially fun for sleepovers, family movie nights, birthday parties, and casual summer gatherings.
Cook's Tips
Be careful handling the s'mores, as the marshmallows will be extremely hot right out of the oven.
Keep an eye on the marshmallows in the oven the best you can, or peek on them every 30-60 seconds, to make sure they are still on top of the graham cracker halves and that they're not burning.
Feel free to use any melty chocolate in your s'mores. We like the peanut butter cups, but you could also use a quarter of a Hershey bar or another kind of chocolate.
S'mores can also be made in the air fryer. See those instructions here.

Storing leftovers
These do not store well. Enjoy while warm!
