Spread the link love

I've always wondered why people's blogs didn't show up as links when they commented on my blog. It was a minor annoyance of mine, but I never bothered to find out why it happened or how to change it.

Until today, when I was blog hopping and read this article.

So now, when you comment, if you click on “Name/URL,” your name will link to the URL you enter, instead of your Google profile.

That is, if I did it correctly.

  1. Hm. It didn’t work. It still links to your profile. I wonder if you have to use the Name/URL identity instead of the Google identity?

    Let me try that.

  7. Darn it, I thought I figured out a sly way to edit my comments by deleting and cut-pasting. But it tattled on me! And only the second time, not the first….

  8. I didn’t notice that they didn’t work, either. I guess I never tried to put a link in someone else’s comments.

  11. Hmmm, and now the “Comment Deleted by Poster” line is gone. I would be in the clear if I hadn’t ratted myself out!

Okay, Tara, I guess I’ve driven up your comment count enough for one day!
