Instructions
Using an electric mixer, cream the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Add the peanut butter, and mix until smooth again.
Fold in Cool Whip with a rubber spatula.
Pour filling into pie shell and smooth out the top. Top with chocolate sauce and peanuts, if desired.
Refrigerate at least an hour before serving.
Notes
The garnish and topping choices are limitless with this pie, so I've given a few options in the ingredients. The easiest way is to just add a few dollops of whipped cream. You could go all out and drizzle with chocolate and peanut butter sauce and/or sprinkle with chopped peanut butter cups and chopped peanuts. Or do all three, it's your pie.
