Easy Parmesan Roasted Green Beans (Fresh or Frozen)
These parmesan roasted green beans are crispy and golden on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated in savory parmesan cheese. Made with fresh or frozen green beans, they're an easy oven side dish for weeknights and holidays.
Preheat the oven to 425ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Toss the green beans with olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Spread beans on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast 12 minutes. Stir and flip, then roast 6-8 minutes more until crisp-tender and browned at the edges.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle Parmesan over the hot beans and toss well. Return to oven and roast 1-2 minutes more, just enough for the cheese to melt.
Remove from oven and add more salt and pepper if desired.
Notes
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 to 4 days.Reheat in the oven or air fryer to bring back the crispy edges. The microwave will work but they will be softer.Freezing cooked leftovers isn't recommended, since the beans turn soft and lose their crispy texture.Prep ahead for holiday meals by trimming fresh green beans up to 2 days early and storing them in the fridge, then roast right before serving.
