- ¼ cup butter melted
- 5 cloves garlic pressed or minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
How to make garlic bread pizza in the oven
- Preheat the oven to 425℉ and line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice your bread in half so you have two long halves of bread, a top piece and bottom piece, each the full length of the loaf.
- Stir together the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and minced garlic.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture over the inside halves of the cut bread and sprinkle ¼ cup of shredded cheese over each half.
- Bake garlic bread for 5 minutes, or until the cheese has started to melt.
- Divide the pizza sauce evenly between the two pieces of garlic bread and top them with the remaining cheese (half of the cheese on each).
- Bake again for about 10 minutes.
- Turn off the oven, but don't remove the pizzas. Turn on the broiler to high and broil for 1-2 minutes or until golden bubbles start to form. Remove the pizza from the oven immediately.
- Slice and enjoy!
How to make garlic bread pizza in the air fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 370℉.
- Slice your bread in half so you have two long halves of bread, a top piece and bottom piece, each the full length of the loaf. Cut each of the halves in half so you have four shorter pieces that will fit into your air fryer basket.
- Stir together the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and minced garlic.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture over the inside halves of the cut bread and sprinkle ¼ cup of freshly shredded cheese over each half.
- Air fry the garlic bread at 370ºF for 3 minutes, or until the cheese has started to melt.
- Divide the pizza sauce evenly between the pieces of garlic bread and top them with the remaining cheese.
- Air fry again for about 5-6 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the air fryer, slice, and enjoy.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days.
The bread will get soggy in the microwave, so reheat leftovers in the air fryer or oven rather than the microwave to keep the crust crisp.
Garlic bread pizza can be frozen for up to 2 to 3 months if individually wrapped. Don't wrap them until they're completely cooled to room temperature to avoid condensation that will make them soggy. Reheat from frozen in the oven or air fryer. There is no need to thaw them first.
