This homemade cherry danish pastry starts with flaky Pillsbury Grand’s biscuits, a generous spoonful of cherry pie filling, and a hint of almond that makes it taste bakery-fresh in minutes. It’s a quick and easy cherry almond danish you can make as a simple weeknight treat, part of your air fryer breakfast ideas, or even one of your go-to Christmas desserts or Thanksgiving sweets.
Line the Air Fryer basket or tray with parchment paper and place the biscuits in a single layer (as many as will fit without squishing).
Spoon a little cherry pie filling on each round. Not so much that it spills over the edges.
Cook pastries in batches at 390ºF for about 5-6 minutes or until the biscuits start to brown.
While the danishes are cooling, make the almond glaze by combining powdered sugar, half of the milk, and almond extract in a small bowl. Whisk until the powdered sugar is all dissolved. Use less milk for a thicker glaze or slightly more for a thinner glaze.
Drizzle the almond glaze over the cherry danishes. Can be served warm or cooled completely and served at room temperature.
