Spicy Baked Brie with Apricot Jam

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cups pecans or almonds chopped
  • 1 jalapeno stemmed, seeded, and finely chopped
  • ¼ cups apricot jam or peach
  • 8 ounces brie room temperature (leave rind attached)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425º.
  • Cut the jalapeño in half. Remove the stem, seeds, and white membrane and finely chop remaining pepper.
  • Combine jam and chopped pepper. Mix well.
  • Slice the brie in half horizontally, and place the bottom half in a baking dish. Spread half of jam mixture over the bottom half , then sprinkle with nuts.
  • Place top half of brie on top of pecans. Spread remaining jam mixture over the bottom half , then sprinkle with remaining nuts.
  • Bake 10 minutes, or until brie is beginning to soften.
  • Serve warm, with wafer-style crackers.
