Sausage Sandwiches with Onions and Mushrooms

  • 4 mild Italian sausages low sodium
  • olive oil Extra virgin
  • 1 large onion sliced into rings
  • 1 pounds sliced mushrooms
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 4 hot dog buns we had gluten-free ones from Udi's


  • Heat a little olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the sausages for a few minutes, until they begin to brown.
  • Add the onions and stir occasionally until the onions are translucent.
  • Add the mushrooms and the sauce. Cook until the mushrooms are your desired tenderness.
  • Serve each sausage in a bun, topped with lots of onions and mushrooms.
