Ingredients

cups
mushrooms
you can buy one 16 oz container of these pre-sliced if you're short on time
1
medium onion
chopped
2
cloves
garlic
2
tablespoons
chopped parsley
1
teaspoon
basil
pinch
of pepper
2
tablespoons
butter
¾
cups
uncooked rice
- use your favorite type of rice
1 ½
cups
water
⅓
cups
toasted almonds
chopped
Instructions
Saute mushrooms, onion, garlic, parsley, basil, and pepper in butter about five minutes, or until tender, stirring frequently.
Stir in rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
Cover; reduce heat and simmer until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender, about 25 minutes. Stir in almonds.
