Ingredients

  • 1 pizza crust see notes below for a link to our favorite homemade pizza crust or use a pre-made crust from the dairy case
  • 1 cup sauce ranch, BBQ, pizza sauce, or buffalo wing sauce
  • 12 ounces chicken breast cooked and chopped or shredded
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 plum tomato seeded, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray a pizza stone with cooking spray.
  • Fry bacon in a skillet until bacon is crispy. Drain and pat dry on paper towels. Chop coarsely. Pour out all but 1 tablespoon of bacon fat from the skillet. Add chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent and soft.
  • Unroll dough on stone; starting at center, press dough into a large circle.
  • Pre-bake the crust for 10 minutes or until the crust is just beginning to turn golden on top.
  • Spread sauce evenly over dough. Top with chicken, bacon, onions, tomato, and cheeses.
  • Bake 13 to 16 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.

Notes

We made half of our pizza with the ranch dressing and the other half with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce. Joe and I preferred the BBQ half. Grace devoured the ranch pizza.
I hate raw tomatoes, and I convinced Joe to leave them off of half of the pizza. It was good without them, and he said it was good with them.
