Last night, I was invited to be a guest on the Huffington Post Live - 45 minutes before the show.
The show was about bringing the holidays down a notch. They had seen my recent post on the same, and they wanted me to join in the conversation.
I had to run upstairs, put on a bra and a shirt (because I was still in my pajamas), fix up my hair a little, hunt frantically for some mascara and lipstick, give up hunting for mascara and lipstick, and prop up my computer in such a way that the webcam was not looking up my nose.
It was a whirlwind.
I went into the show expecting to be mocked or even attacked, but that wasn't the case at all. I talked with some awesome women - Carinn, Jill, Erin, and Nancy, and we realized that the differences in our opinions weren't that big at all.
I loved every minute of it even though I was crazy nervous.
The show is almost a half-hour long, and I'd love for you to weigh in on the conversation in the comments.

I'm a HuffPostLive fan and am usually in the comments chat daily. But I decided to take Monday off.
I'll definitely take some time to watch your segment.

You'll have to let me know what you think. 🙂

Tara I think this is a great discussion and loved two of your thoughts that I'm probably botching "some stuff we just do because we [as moms] think they're cool" and the concept of celebrating little things because in the things we can't control there are always still good times that keep coming. Thanks for your perspective!

Didn't you just love Nancy? She's a joy to watch and listen to. HPL keeps me current and informed. I'm glad that she did this segment.
