Another Mysterious Creature

The more time I spend in my garden, the more crazy things I see. This, for instance. Looking more like something from Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch Friends than from nature, this insect was very tiny (under an inch long), very colorful, and covered with stripes. And I suspect it eats petunias. Or else it eats something that eats petunias. Most peculiar of all, it was unafraid of me. I photographed it for at least 10 minutes. A Day at the Philadelphia Zoo

Grace and I were invited to Blogger Day at the Philadelphia Zoo this week. Wow. Just wow. Before we left, Grace and I checked out the Philadelphia Zoo’s website. We looked at pictures of many of the animals, and Grace decided that she was most interested in seeing the hippopotamus, the rhinoceros, and the parrot.
