Beef and Green Beans | A Quick and Easy Weeknight Recipe

Green beans are iffy at this time of year, so when we see nice ones, we always buy them to make beef and green beans. Joe and I have been eating this a lot lately. We both love it, and it is quick and easy to throw together after work. I personally think this recipe is better than the beef and green beans or chicken and green beans at the local Chinese restaurant. It has a lot more flavor.       Print Recipe Beef and Green Beans Prep Time 10 minutes Cook Time 20 minutes Servings Ingredients 1/2 pound ground beef2 … Read more

Garden Pasta

Garden season is upon us, and I couldn’t be happier. Joe is battling a groundhog for dominance in his newly expanded garden, but the hot, rainy weather is helping our plants to move right along. Fortunately, we belong to the CSA from Spiral Path Farms, and we are picking up loads of veggies every week. The one vegetable that I could eat every day and night, regardless of where it came from, is the green bean. I love whole green beans. We’ve had green beans three times in the last week. They just always taste good to me. I really love this recipe. We first served … Read more

Indonesian Peanut Chicken

I love peanut butter. When I was in college, the cafeteria served an amazing vegetarian dish with peanut butter sauce, and I adored it. We also have a glut of veggies, thanks to our CSA, but not a lot in the pantry. Wanting to use up some of the green beans in my fridge, but not having any cheese to make my favorite green bean casserole, I went to AllRecipes.com and did an ingredient search. I told the search tool to find me a recipe with green beans and chicken, but without cheese. The recipe below is based on the … Read more
