Homemade Instant Oatmeal Packets
Homemade Healthy Instant Oatmeal Packets – This recipe will show you how to make your own instant rolled oats oatmeal packets at a fraction of the cost of store bought packets. Oats are not typically gluten-free, so you will need to buy specially labeled gluten-free oats to have gluten free oatmeal. Perfect for breakfast, in the morning, or any time of day! Makes about 20 packets.

Ingredients
  • 10cups Instant oatsif you want gluten-free oatmeal, you have to buy specially labeled gluten-free oats. In any case, make sure you buy the INSTANT oats that are ready in one minute rather than the traditional oats which take much longer to cook.
  • 2teaspoons salt
  • 1cup brown sugarpacked
  • 1/2cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4cup powdered coffee creamerI buy the French Vanilla flavor and like it, but as I said above, I am thinking about branching out to try some other flavors if I can find them.
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients together until well blended, and then measure 1/2 cup at a time into little plastic zippered baggies.
  2. To prepare: pour contents of one baggie into a bowl with 3/4 cup water or milk. (I prefer milk, but it does add calories.) Microwave for 2 minutes on high.
Recipe Notes

I have seen recipes that use powdered milk, but it can cause molding if you store it for a long time. That’s why I went with coffee creamer.
