Spicy Cajun Shrimp – Great Over Pasta or Rice

The best cajun shrimp skillet recipe. Can be served over pasta or rice. Makes a thick, rich sauce. Healthy and simple, this easy recipe is made with sweet chili sauce, Worcestershire, chili powder, sriracha, and other spices and seasonings. Sauteed like a stir fry in a pan or skillet.

I love spicy foods. I don’t like quite as much heat as I did in my younger days, but I still enjoy foods with big, bold flavors and a mild heat. This is one such recipe. The sauce of this recipe is what makes it fabulous. It takes the plain old shrimp to a whole new level, like what I imagine you’d get in New Orleans. I’ve never been there, but that’s what I think of when I eat this spicy Cajun shrimp. When you make this, you will want to marinate the shrimp for several hours, so plan ahead … Read more

The world's best sugar-free, gluten-free, low carb, healthy BBQ sauce - This simple, easy, homemade recipe has no added sugars (not even honey) and features apple cider vinegar, chili powder, and liquid smoke for the familiar flavor you love. The spices work well for any meat.

I am talking a lot about food this week, not for any reason in particular.  I know it’s a departure from my normal Christian content, but we all eat, so I thought I’d share some of the good things we’ve been eating recently.  Since my bariatric surgery, I have followed a very strict sugar-free, very low carb diet. I don’t eat anything with added sugar at all, and very few things with natural sugars (some yogurt and tomato sauce, for example, but only if there’s no added sugar).  I have always loved barbecue sauce, and losing that was a real … Read more

Filet Bryan – Copycat Carrabba’s Recipe

I have a lot of favorite meals and favorite restaurants, but my A-1 absolute best most favorite restaurant meal is Filet Bryan from Carrabba’s. Their Chicken Bryan runs a close second, but the filet is the best. I love the sun-dried tomatoes and the lemon butter sauce and the pasta with  spicy red sauce (even though it’s not gluten-free) and the buttery-smooth filet mignon. It’s heavenly. So when The Kansas City Steak Company reached out to ask if I’d be interested in trying out their KC Signature Gift Boxed Steak Combo, I knew I had to try to make Filet Bryan … Read more
