Crazy Cucumber Snake

Everybody likes to eat fun-looking foods, right? This Crazy Cucumber Snake was in Family Fun magazine this month, and I wanted to share it with you. Perfect for summer veggies from the garden, the snake is easy to put together.

Crazy Cucumber Snake
Instructions
  1. Peel thin strips of the cucumber's skin to make stripes on the outside.
  2. Cut the cucumber into half-rounds and arrange them on a plate as shown.
  3. Cut a black olive in half to make the eye.
  4. Cut a circle for the center of the eye and a long strip for the tongue from a red pepper.
  5. Slice a mouth into the cucumber that will be snake's head. Slide the tongue into the mouth.
  6. Fill a small bowl with hummus or dip.
