Pregnancy, According to a 3-year-old

I do not enjoy being pregnant.

I'll spare you my long list of complaints.

I wouldn't spare you if you were sitting next to me, but you're not. Consider yourself lucky.

Grace does not enjoy having a pregnant Momma.

This past Saturday, Joe and Grace let me sleep in a couple of hours (probably in hopes that I would be slightly less grouchy when adequately rested).

When I woke up, this was in the middle of the living room floor.

Want a better look?

I'm not sure whether it's a reenactment of real events or a statement of her feelings about the whole situation.

I don't want to know.

  1. Oh Tara, so sorry that you have been having another rough pregnancy. I think Grace is showing that she is paying attention and trying to help you. She was leaving this to give you a topic to write about 😉

  2. I'm sorry but I have to laugh at this one! I feel your pain for the pregancy symptoms. My 4 year old reminds me all the time each back road we pulled over at so that I could vomit during my pregnancy with my 3rd child. Not fun! Clever little things aren't they?

  3. I love it!!!! I had morning sickness for all my pregnancies until I deliver the babies and then I feel better!!!! Our 3 years old during my last pregnancy would make gagging sound every-times I would go to the restroom, lovely isn't it!!!! How far along are you now?

  4. Hahahahaha! That is just awesome. What a clever little Grace you have!!

P.S. I feel the same way about pregnancy. I might have more than three kids if pregnancy weren't part of the package. 🙂

  5. Aw, that looks like my entire pregnancy, too! Glad you've still got your humor about you, but really hope you feel better. Do we know what you're having or is it a surprise? For some reason, I'm thinking BOY, but that could be because I have a boy.

  6. Oh no! Isn't it funny how kids view life? 😉 Hope you feel better soon! Hoppin' over from Lolli's by the way 😉

  7. This is too funny! I laughed so hard. I am 24 weeks pregnant and totally share your feelings. I had terrible morning sickness with my 4 year old daughter and now this little girl we're having. I feel blessed that we're going to have another little one, but also will be happy to get my body back! =) Hope you feel better soon.

  8. Oh my goodness! That just totally cracked me up! LOL Kids are so funny. But I am so sorry you are not feeling well lately. It will be over soon. Man does it go by fast!

  9. Speaking of pregnancy…I had a dream last night that my mom and I were both pregnant with our 6th kids. Yes, my mom, who has already gone thru menopause miraculously was having another baby. And me? Well, I must have just lost my mind. 😉 I'm happy for you though!

  10. Awww. I feel for you! My second two sons have NO idea how lucky they are to exist! My first pregnancy had me living next to the toilet for four months. I sure hope you're feeling better soon!
