How to Make an Easy Heart-Shaped Pizza

Joe, Grace, and I made heart-shaped pizzas on Valentine's Day. They were yummy.

It's fun to make “real food” that's such a silly departure from normal.

Joe's pizza, before it was cooked:

How to make an easy heart-shaped pizza

This is so easy, it can hardly be called a recipe.

Ingredients

  • Tortillas, one per person
  • Pizza sauce
  • Cheese – shredded is easier, but Grace wanted to cut heart-shaped cheese so we used slices and shredded together.
  • Pepperoni and whatever other toppings you want

Instructions

  1. Gently fold the tortilla in half and cut it into a heart shape.
  2. Spread with pizza sauce. Don't use too much or your tortilla will get soggy.
  3. Sprinkle with cheese.
  4. Add the toppings.
  5. Cut pepperoni into heart shapes with a small cookie cutter.
  6. Add the pepperoni.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Keep your eye on it to make sure it doesn't get too crispy.

I didn't get to photograph Grace's pizza before or after cooking. She ate it too fast.

Note: These are great portions for children. Grown ups will want more food, so don't rely on one pizza for your meal. We may have learned this the hard way.

  1. That is too cute! I bet Grace had a blast making that! I bet it tasted “lovely” too. Get it? LOVE-ly. lol 😀

Thanks for the WW link up! You stole my heart! 🙂

  2. What a great idea! Maybe next year we’ll start our Valentine’s Day with heart shaped pancakes and end it with heart shaped pizzas! (See Of Such is the Kingdom for our heart shaped pancake recipe!)

  3. That's exactly what we did. 🙂 I posted a couple different heart-shaped things for Valentines Day. We had heart-shaped omelets, heart-shaped banana chocolate chip pancakes, and then these pizzas for dinner. It was a lovey kind of day.

  4. I made little ones for my boys that weekend. too. Such a cute idea. Although mine didn't have heart-shaped pepperoni and cheese! I'm so impressed! 😀

  5. I love to cook with my kids and pizza making is so much fun! Great way to get their hands really into it. I use my breadmaker and make Whole Wheat dough. I love the heart shape…cool idea!
