Our family bed

Sometimes, I complain about the family bed. You know what, Dear Reader? I wouldn't change it for the world.
Well, I might make it bigger and I've been thinking about a Sleep Number mattress, but other than that, I wouldn't change it for the world.

I haven't given the cats the boot. When I got up to get the camera, they thought I was going to make them breakfast and they ran to the kitchen.
And, yes, that is the buh.

  1. I love my family bed too! I can’t imagine doing it any other way. 🙂

How did you get the pic without waking those two up??

    Beautiful, sweet photo!

  3. I stumble across Sam’s (my soon to be 14 year old) stuff from when she was a baby. Sweet memories.

    She looks so peaceful.

    Enjoyed your post.

  5. Can you believe I sometimes miss my ‘buh’? Especially since I’d love it to be my baby’s ‘buh’ too! I’m not sure I’d be able to handle a ‘family bed’ as we never had it to that degree as a kid.

  7. That’s a great photo! I never did the family bed with the first few kids, but husband is out-of-town so I had both Wee People sleep with me last night. I loved it. Now I want to get a bigger bed so they can all the time!

  9. Saw you over on WW and thought I’d stop by to say hi! Love your background paper. Fun!

I love that my kids have outgrown this phase, although I do have to admit to missing the extra snuggling time with them :).

  11. I’ll side with Angie on the sleep number bed. Of course I am biased 🙂

I recommend two featherbeds with a mattress pad on top – for the ultimate sink in effect.
