Yesterday was my birthday. I turned 29.
It was a nice day. A lot of my friends remembered and wished me a happy day. Joe gave me a gift certificate for Barnes & Noble bookstore and a homemade coupon for a dinner for two at the restaurant of my choice. My parents and sister joined Joe, Grace, and I for a nice steak dinner at the Texas Roadhouse. Â I sat on a faux horse and wore a sombrero.
That got me to thinking. Â What did I do for my 28th birthday? Â I'd just had Grace. hmm. I vaguely remember a dinner at Houlihan's. Â 27? I was about to get married, but what did I do for my birthday. Not sure. 26? No clue. Â Joe gave me a ruby necklace one year and the matching earrings the next year. Â Which two were they?
I remember going to ChiChi's for my 21st birthday because I had two alcoholic beverages,  and my parents were afraid they'd have to carry me to the car.
I remember going to Red Lobster for my 16th birthday. Â My friend, Jen, came along, and some of the buttons on my dress popped open.
We moved on my 8th birthday or the day before or the day after. Â I remember being devastated about that.
I was getting a little frustrated, so I opened iPhoto thinking there would be some birthday pictures in there. Â There were pictures of Grace every month on her birthday, but not a single July 2 picture as far back as 2002. Nada. Â Nothing to scrapbook. Â Nothing to remember.
I'm feeling a little sorry for myself. Â Â
Help me out. Â Do you remember your birthdays? Â Do you do special things?
