I have been wanting a swing set for Gracie. I recognize that she’s just one year old, but she loves going to the park to swing, and she’s even getting into the slide. My Prego Pal friends are getting swing sets for their babes. However. I’m still dreaming of staying at home, and dollars matter.
Thus, I have become a yard saler. I have never frequented yard sales before, though now I think that was a mistake. As it turns out, tons of people with a baby or two sell their barely used baby stuff at yard sales. Why didn’t I know about this last year, before the baby came? But I digress.
For three weeks, I’ve been looking at a sign that said “Community yard sale day – June 7” on my way home from work. Every day. June 7 was burned in my brain.
On the way home from breakfast with the Gerners, Joe, Grace, and I drove through the yard sales. We scored.
Little Tykes SLIDE – $5
Little Tykes car (looks like a Flintstones mobile. I’m sure there’s a term for it, but I don’t know it.) – $2
Little Tykes push mower – $1
9 huge bouncy/beach balls – $2 for the lot
Big girl booster seat with tray – $5
Big girl tricycle with long detachable handle for easy parental pushing – $5
I think I’ll come back and post pictures later, after I take some. On the other hand, it’s 9:49 in the morning and already 80 degrees, so pictures might wait until it’s cooler. Like at midnight.
