12 Secrets of a Fun Mom

My younger daughter doesn't remember the time I spent as a stay-at-home mom, before I worked even part time. Neither does she remember the years during which I worked only at night so that I could be fully available to her and her older sister in the daytime.

I'm sad that she doesn't remember these times because they were fun times. We went to Hersheypark during the day and rode all the rides with no lines and swam in the pool until we were sunburned. We went to parks and played all afternoon and had picnics with friends. We spent countless hours with our best friends, playing in their backyard or ours. We went to moms' groups and ate communal lunches and did all sorts of crafts.

In short, it was the best of times, before a full-time job occupied my every morning and every afternoon, before the kids had to entertain themselves and before schoolwork took up our evenings.

It was also the worst of times as my mom got sick and died and I had two mental breakdowns, but that is just real life, right?

I'm not saying that the current days are bad. They are good and we have money to go on big trips and do fun things. I make lunches and play Minecraft and read books during off-work hours.

And I do work from home, so I'm here all the time and technically available for a hug or help or emergencies a lot of the time.

But still, I remember those simple mom days as fun days. They were before the days of too much screen time and too little reading and writing. We took art and craft classes and meandered through our shared life.

Feels Like Home is about living and enjoying a beautiful, messy life that prioritizes your mental, physical, and spiritual health.

That usually involves getting your hands dirty, enjoying your family, living fully immersed in every moment.

...being the mother you want to be.

...being the mother you want your kids to remember.

...creating the childhood you want them to remember.

I wrote a guide to help you to be that mom, back in 2015 when I was still in the thick of it. It's only 6 pages - a quick and easy read - but it gives you 12 secrets of a fun mom, a mom whose kids have a little bit of fun every day even in the midst of real, messy life.

I've updated my guide for today, 2019, and I'm resharing it now to help a new batch of moms be the fun moms they really yearn to be.

Being a fun mom is not the easiest way to parent, but I think it is the most rich, rewarding, and fulfilling way. The guide will walk you through what a fun mom IS and IS NOT (preview: it's not an indulgent mom) and then share the 12 secrets that will help you move in that direction.

12 Secrets of a Fun Mom is absolutely free, just click the button below to receive the ebook.

I would love for you to take advantage of this free offer. Get the guide, READ IT, and implement the secrets. I can't wait to hear about the changes you're making in your life.
